Amal Arafah films new drama

According to the London daily Elaph, the Syrian actress Amal Arafah started filming her latest television drama series called “Asad Al Waraq” and she will be starring with the Syrian actor Tayem Hssan. The series will also star famous Syrian actress Muna Wasef, Firas Ibrahim and Ayman Rida.


 The scenario and narration for the new series are written by Hozan Ako and it will be directed by Rasha Sharbatji. It is needless to say that the same series was aired on the Syrian television back in 1975 in black and white and it was only seven episodes. Back then the series starred famous actor Hani Al Romani, Muna Wasef, Malak Sukar, Amal Sukar, Adnan Barakat, Ali Al Rowas and Yousif Hana.

 

 The story of the series is taken from the novel “Allah Wa Al Faqor” (God And The Poor) by the Syrian writer Ismail Sodqi. The first scenario was written by Abed Al Aziz Hilal and it was directed by Ala Al Deen Kokash. The series was one of the most important projects that were aired on the Syrian television.
