'Butterflies' burn in front the cameras

October first was the date fixed to start shooting the new TV series “Al Farashat Tahtarek” (Butterflies Burn), directed by Ali Badrakhan, marking his TV direction debut, according to Al Akhbar daily newspaper. 

 

Badrakhan, the director of “Al Raghbah” (Desire) movie, has lately come back from Hungary after an inspection visit to check all the palaces and Yachts in which the series will shoot some scenes. 

 

The new series depicts the life story of late famous Egyptian star Camellia and her exciting artistic and political career. It explores her life from the day she becomes well known, going through her relations with the king, British people, Jews and art, and then when she dies as a result of burns in a mysterious plane crash. 

 

Gala Fahmi, who announced her acting quittance following the failure of her film “Gala Gala”, has given a nod to play the role as Camellia, and agreed with some Lebanese Fashion houses to design the dresses she will wear in the series. 

 

The 30-episode series, written by Abu al Ula al Salamoni, takes place in Egypt during the period following World War II. “Al Farashat Tahtarek” costars also Mahmoud Hameida, Hisham Abdul Hamid, Abdulla Mahmoud, Yaser Galal and many others. – Albawaba.com
