Egyptian satellite channel Al Hayat reported during its program “Al Hayat Al Youm” (Life Today) that recent circulating rumors regarding the murder of famous Turkish actor Kivanc Tatlitug, known in the Arab world as ‘Muhannad’ are not true.
The channel placed a call to the Egyptian Embassy in Turkey to confirm that Muhannad is still alive.
Over the past week, a number of internet websites published reports that Turkish authorities had confirmed the murder of Muhannad, and that a suspect to the crime was under investigation.
The Turkish actor became popular in the Arab world through the drama “Nour,” aired several years ago on Arab satellite channels.
Muhannad’s fiancé holds the title Miss Universe 2002. The couple had separated for awhile, but reunited.
