Is Elton John a secret supporter of Donald Trump?

ALBAWABA -Iconic pop singer Elton John went viral after responding to the time Donald Trump called North Korea's Kim Jong Un "Little Rocket Man," during an interview with Variety.

Snippets of the clip in question went viral on X (formerly known as Twitter) as John was heard talking positively about Donald Trump which surprised many users across the board since the iconic pop star comes off as a "liberal" individual. 

He went on to say how he's always been friendly towards Trump since the former president always supported him and his music. He said:

"I laughed, I thought that was brilliant… Donald’s always been a fan of mine… I’ve always been friendly toward him and thank him for his support. When he did that, I just thought it was hilarious." 

Elton John's friendly remarks about Trump triggered a swarm of comments from X users speculating if he's an alleged "closet supporter" of the former president.

Is Elton John a secret supporter of Donald Trump?

Users on X took to several comment sections discussing the matter at hand with some hinting that Elron John could be a "closet supporter" of Trump. Here's what they had to say: 

"Why do I get the feeling Elton might be a bit more of a closeted supporter than he’s letting on? I’d sure love to believe so. I love Elton John."

"Good on EJ for supporting Trump."

"This is great that he stands up against his peers in the woke Hollywood."

"Even Elton John is on board to Make America Great Again."

Users speculated that talking positively about Trump made Elton John a supporter while others slammed the thought of it claiming that he was just being "civil" towards the former president.

"People can still be friendly with each other but still have different opinions and political ideologies." 

"This is what I respect in people.

"Look, we don't have to hate each other for disagreeing.  Talking and being civil is what keeps the country together and moving forward."
