Young artist Eman Al Assi was able to bring back her daughter Ritaj, who was kidnapped by her ex-husband Nabeel Zanousi for a period of one week. Family members interfered from Eman and Nabeel’s side and were able to convince the father to give back their daughter to her mother, who has full custody over.
Eman’s lawyer had said that he was shocked when he received a phone call from one of Nabeel’s relatives saying that Nabeel is willing to give back Ritaj to her mother if she agrees to drop all charges against him.
Nabeel had before the kidnapping incident called Eman and requested to see his daughter and Eman ha agreed. Once Ritaj was with her father, he called Eman and told her she will never see their daughter again.
Nabeel and Eman had divorced in 2010. Eman had filed numerous lawsuits against Nabeel accusing him of wife battering and imprisoning her and torturing her. After Eman was able to get the divorce she dropped all charges.
