Farouq Al Fishawi Faces Destiny

After wrapping up the shooting of his part in the series Al Barr Al Gharbi (Western Land), Egyptian actor Farouq Al Fishawi is gearing up to shoot his latest film Aqdar (Destinies) on the heels of a two-year sabbatical. Costarring in the film along with Fishawi are Sawsan Bader and Mohammed Riyad, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat. 

Fishawi plays the role of a husband whose wife dies, leaving him responsible for raising his small kids and solving their problems. 

The latest film in which Fishawi appeared was Souq Al Muta’a (Pleasure Market), in which he starred along with Elham Shahin and Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.  

Many of Fishawi’s films have not yet been screened, despite the fact that they were shot four years ago. The list includes Noor Wa Nar (Light and Fire), which costars Laila Olwi and Wafaa Amer under the direction of Ahmed Yahya. 

Fishawi’s role in the series Al Barr Al Gharbi (Western Land) depicts the character Erfan Al Jarihi, who lives in the Pyramids area in the 1940s. Jarihi falls in love with an influential foreign girl, but he refuses to immigrate with her to Britain and remains loyal to his country, wife and children.  

Costarring in the series along with Fishawi are Raghda, Abla Kamel and Ezzat Abu Ouf. The series is expected to be aired during the upcoming Ramadan - Albawaba.com
