Everyone remembers the attack and negative criticism that the famous Lebanese artist Haifa Wahbe received back when she released the video clip for her the song “Al Wawa” (Bubo) a few years ago. The writer Wisam Al Amir, composer Dani Yunis and the director of the clip Ameel Cilati all received similar criticism as well.
Many accused Haifa of taking advantage of the baby in a song that is filled with seductive and adult scenes aimed for grownups. When news was released that Haifa will be launching new songs aimed for kids two years ago, everyone was waiting to see what kind of image she’ll be laying out this time. Haifa had to postpone the releasing of her kids album probably since her Lebanese colleague famous artist Nancy Ajram had released a kid’s album and she preferred to wait for the right time.
According to the London daily Elaph, Haifa was smart because she knew how to take advantage of being criticized and with time passing she gained the knowledge and wasn’t going to take any steps without fully understanding every step. Haifa’s new children’s clips have finally been released. The first for the song “Baba Feen” (Where’s Daddy) and the second is called “Lama Al Shams Trouh’” (When the Sun Goes Away). Haifa’s two new songs will be part of a full children’s album which is produced by “Rotana” and will include 9 different songs.
The new clip for the song “Baba Feen” is directed by Laila Kanan and this time Haifa was successful in choosing the right image to reach out to kids of all ages.
The song is realistic where a mother is calling out to her son. The song “Baba Feen 2” is written and composed by Mustafa Camel and it is considered a second part for the song “Baba Feen” which was released years ago and found great success among young listeners.
As for the other song “Lama AL Shams Trouh” it was written by Baha Al Deen Muhammad and composed by Muhammad Yehya. The second is more similar to a “Lullaby” where Haifa tries to sing it to her son who doesn’t want to go to sleep. In the clip Haifa uses a music box to sing the song for her son and she is dancing in the music box.
It is needless to say that this year has been a successful one for Haifa where it started out with the screening of her first cinema film “Dukan Shahateh” (shahteh’s Supermarket) where she proved to be a very good actress and now with another successful project which is a new album aimed for children.
