It'll be a 'Starry Starry Night' in Amman with Latin lover Julio Iglesias in concert

World-famous Spanish singer and songwriter Julio Iglesias will take the stage at the Amman Citadel Festival 2013 on August 22.

Iglesias, will be accompanied by both Jordanian and international artists at the musical event.

“I am so happy to perform at one of Jordan’s most prestigious archaeological sites, the Amman Citadel, and I can´t wait to meet the Jordanian audience. See you, my friends, on August 22,” Iglesias said, reported by online news outlet Trade Arabia on Wednesday.

The festival, organized by Friends of Jordan Festivals (FJF), will continue until September 10.

Iglesias, who has sold over 300 million album copies worldwide, is rated as one of the top-five best-selling artists of all time.

During his 45 years in the music business, the Spaniard received hundreds of globally-acclaimed awards and accolades.

He is well-seasoned live performer, having performed in front of more than 60 million fans at 5,000 concerts in 600 cities across the world.
