Egyptian director Majdi Abu Amera has nominated Lebleba to star in the TV series Noqtet Nitham (Order Point), meaning the renowned actress will return to the small screen after eight years of absence.

Lebleba’s last series was Al Haffar (Drill), directed by Wafiq Wajdi and costarring Hussein Fahmi and the late Karam Mtawea.

Recently, the actress finished shooting her new film Madraset Al Hobb (School of Love) directed by Mohammed Abu Seif and written by Lenin Al Ramli. She plays the role of a psychiatrist aside Mustafa Shaaban and the new actress Bassma.

Lebleba told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat that this film “is very special for me, as the late director Salah Abu Seif prepared it 30 years ago, but censors rejected it for its suggested titles: Madraset Al Jenss (School of Sex), Tazawaj Wa Esh Saidan (Get Married and Live Happy) or Al Tawoos Wal Naama (Peacock and Ostrich).

The late director’s son, Mohammed Abu Seif, has made modifications to the scenario pending the censors’ agreement on the film.
