The legendary Lebanese artist Majida Al Roumi is planning to launch a new music album this summer season.

The album was originally scheduled to be launched at the end of 2009 and Majida postponed the release because she was busy with her live concerts.

She denied rumors that the reason behind the delay was due to production issues, asserting that she wanted to take time to choose the right songs that would satisfy her beloved fans.

Majida included a song called “Al Daqayeq Btet Ghayar” (The Minutes Change) on her new album, written by Nizar Francis and composed by the famous Lebanese artist Melhim Barakat. She is also planning to include a song composed by the famous Iraqi artist Kathem Al Sahir, and a song called “Watak” (I Promise You), written by the late Lebanese poet Nizar Qabani.

Majida’s last album “Itazalit Al Gharam” (Retired from Love) was produced by ‘Good News’ Production Company.
