‘I Resigned from Love’ is written by Nizar Frances and composed by Lebanese singer Milhim Barakat. Majida considers the song as a new step in her career, and will be releasing the accompanying new video clip on a number of Arab satellite music channels.

Composers such as Milhim Barakat, Elli Shuwairi, Abd Al Rab Idrees, Marwan Khouri, Nizar Frances, and Jan Marie Riashi contributed to a number of the songs, along with song writers Nizar Qabani, Marwan Khoury, and Sid Aqel.

Majida recently returned from Beirut where she performed a special charity before thousands of fans.  All proceeds went directly to the American University in Beirut and will be distributed in the form of scholarships.

At the event the audience waited with great anticipation to hear Majida perform, and she surprised everyone by singing five songs from her upcoming album, her first in the past seven years.

During an interview with Reuters news agency, Majida expressed confidence in the success of her upcoming album, stating that the songs have "true value," stressing that it is different from the trend of albums released today.

Reuters described Majida as one of the true Arab music icons. She was the first Arab singer to receive a platinum record award.
