Mariam Faris enters the cinema

Young Lebanese singer Mariam Faris has been nominated for the leading role in the upcoming Egyptian film “Al Hub Mish Fil Alb” (Love is not in the Heart) alongside Egyptian actor Mohammad Najati, who is currently starring in the Ramadan television drama “Mahmoud Al Masri” with prominent Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abdul Aziz.  


The movie will mark Mariam’s debut into the cinema, and the singer is hopeful she will be up to people’s standards. Director Wael Ihsan is to direct the film, and filming is scheduled to begin in the near future, reported the Qatar based daily, Al Raya.  


Mariam is currently preparing for her upcoming album, which she reveals is to be a big surprise to all her fans. Mariam stressed that the new album marks a unique shift in her singing career that will make her gain more popularity.  


Mariam has recently been advertising for her new perfume "Ana Wil Shouq", which is taken from the title of one of her songs. The song was the key for Mariam's entrance into the world of music and gained her the popularity she enjoys today.  


Mariam has had a very busy schedule holding concerts throughout the Arab world the last being in Syria. The singer revealed that during the Eid El Fitr holiday she is scheduled to hold two performances in Kuwait and in Dubai. Mariam will sing alongside Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama on the second day of the holiday in Kuwait and alongside Wael Kfoury in Dubai on the third day. –
