Egyptian actress Ragaa Elgedawy died at the age of 82 in the early morning hours of Sunday, after her struggle with Coronavirus. She caught the virus last May after Eid Al-Fitr, when she attended the consolation service of Saudi businessman Saleh Kamel, coinciding with filming her last episodes of previous Ramadan series Lo'bet Alnesyan "Forgetfulness Game."
In an exclusive statement to Foochia, Chief of Artists Syndicate in Egypt Ashraf Zaki confirmed the news of Ragaa's death, pointing out that he was following up with the Ministry of Health on all procedures of her burial in her family’s cemetery in coordination with her daughter "Amira."
Ashraf added that the process of washing and shrouding Ragaa Elgedawy will be based on Ministry of Health regulations and protocol followed in dealing with Coronavirus deaths, indicating that he will try to attend the funeral with her daughter after taking all precautions.
