Tunisian singer Saber El Rebai has decided to file a lawsuit against the Tunisian newspaper “Al Sour”, accusing it of blemishing his image and creating lies about him. The newspaper had published an articl about Saber saying he had purposely displayed the Israeli flag in his latest music video “Ya Asal” (Honey) as a way of showing his support for Israel.

Saber said he will not waste his time by answering back to the newspaper but will rather let the law take its course by filing a lawsuit against those responsible for publishing such ridiculous lies about him.

On a different note, Saber denied rumors that the late legendary Algerian singer Warda rejected the composition of the song “Al Ghina Hali” (Singing is my Life), which was the duet that was to bring them together but was never completed due to Warda’s sudden death. The song is written by poet Hani AbdAl Karim and composed by Saber himself. Saber said that the song was repeatedly postponed due to production circumstances.

During a press conference Saber held early this week in the Tunisian capital he revealed that he will besinging the song for the first time during his upcoming scheduled concert in Algeria. He said he had some alterations done to the song after the death of Warda and will be singing it as a way of honoring her.
