Prominent Tunisian singer Saber Ribai denied recent circulating rumors that he refused to sing for the people of Baalbeck Lebanon during the Baalbeck International Festival. Saber clarified that he refused to have people present at his rehearsals due to the fact that he wants his performance to be special and a surprise.

According to the internet based website MBC.net, Saber stated that the organizers of the festival had requested that the citizens of Baalbeck attend his rehearsals and he had refused the suggestion and had offered to present an exclusive concert to them at a later date free of charge.
