The January 25 Revolution in Egypt saw the fall of President Mubarak and the rise of Egyptian folk singer Shaaban Abdel Rahim.

Surprisingly though, Shaaban hasn't released any songs this time around to express his political views on the current happening in Egypt, unlike numerous Egyptian star who released supportive songs of the Egyptian Army.

But according to Sayidaty.net, in a phone call made to the star, AKA Shaabola, he revealed that he's on the verge of completing a new song titled “Toul Omrena Benheb el Jaish” (We've Always Loved the Military).

Shaabola added that the song was written by Islam Khalil, composed by his son Sayed Shaaban, directed by Haitham Anar and will be distributed by Ashraf Al Prince.

You can soon watch the patriotic song on a number of Egyptian satellite channels.

In other news, the singer revealed that he's seriously considering an acting role in a sitcom, which was recently offered to him. If he goes ahead with it, work sessions will soon take place with the sitcom makers.
