Kuwaiti singer Shams, which means 'Sun' in Arabic,  has finally agreed to shine in a live concert.

After refusing to hold live concerts for so many years, Kuwaiti singer Shams shocks her fans and decides to go live! This New Year she finally agreed to hold a New Year’s Eve performance at the tallest hotel in the world, the recently opened JW Marriot Marquis Dubai .

Shams will be the first artist to hold a performance at the new record breaking hotel. Shams will sing alongside Iraqi artist Walid Al Shami and a Cuban dance group. Shams announced her agreement to hold the concert during her attendance of the Dubai International Film Festival and hinted that she has more suprises in store for her fans at her first live performance.

During the event, charitable donations will be collected to be given to an orphanage in Egypt, in addition to Shams’s wage, which she announced she will be donating in full to the same cause. Shams will be personally travelling to Egypt to give the donations collected to the orphanage as her way of putting a smile on the faces of these orphaned children.
