Sulaf Fokharji grateful for Ahmad Zaki’s confidence

Young Syrian actress Sulaf Fokharji has revealed that she is overwhelmed at the thought of acting alongside prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki in the his new film “Halim”.  Sulaf has expressed that she is honored at being nominated by Zaki and prominent director Sharif Arafeh and hopes that she will play her role up to their expectations.

 

According to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London based weekly magazine, Sayidaty, Sulaf will be playing the role of Halim’s secret lover, who comes from a well-known Egyptian family, but to their dismay, their love does not end with marriage.  Sulaf added that she considers this role the most important one in her career and intends on placing all her efforts to play it to the fullest.

 

On his part Ahmad expressed his interest in Sulaf as a qualified actress, who has achieved tremendous success throughout her acting career. Ahmad stressed that he is confident Sulaf is the most suitable actress for the role and that she will play it perfectly.

 

 

The first film about the life of the late Egyptian legendary singer Abdul Halim Hafez has finally took effect as Zaki, who plays the role of Abdul Halim, began shooting the first scenes on Monday January 17, 2005. A huge press conference with the presences of thousands of journalists and stars from around the Arab world was held for the launching of the film “Halim”.

 

The conference was Ahmad’s first public appearance in over a year after his health began deteriorating from lung cancer. During the actor’s speech, he was unable to hold in his tears and the crowd began applauding for over 7 minutes as a gesture of respect for Ahmad. Some of the guests that were present were prominent Lebanese singer Majida Al Roumi, who will be singing the opening song of the film, and Syrian actors Jamal Sulieman and Sulaf, who will be acting alongside Ahmad in the film.
