Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer will begin shooting her series Mawe’d Maa’Al Shuhrah (Appointment with Fame), scripted by Al Sayyed Radhi and directed by Musaad Foudah, according to the UAE daily Al Bayan.
The 15-episodes series costars Dina Abdulla and Yousef Daoud.
The series depicts the life of a girl from a blue-collar neighborhood. She marries a well-known man who falls in love with her, and becomes famous in her community. Nevertheless, she does not forget her family, and tries to help them. Meanwhile, her husband is arrested for failing to pay back loans.
The husband flees and the wife is arrested, but the people in her neighborhood help her to confront the problem. She reaches a settlement with the banks and becomes a businesswoman. Now independent, she asks her husband for divorce when he slinks home - Albawaba.com
