Will Taylor Swift break up with Travis Kelce amid Super Bowl loss?

ALBAWABA - Are "Tayvis" in jeopardy? Following the Kansas City Chiefs' defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles at the 2025 Super Bowl LIX, speculations swarmed several social media platforms about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's future relationship.

Platforms like Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) witnessed a spike in humorous posts discussing Taylor Swift breaking up with Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce. An X user wrote, "She is currently writing her next breakup song." Another added, "You think Travis and Taylor will still be together after this?"

Speculations about the matter in question erupted after clips showcased Kelce and Swift visibly heartbroken after the star's loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. Discussions about Kelce's potential retirement also swarmed social media, but the Chiefs' Tight end didn't release an official statement about his future in football. 

Another X user added, "If Kelce had any thoughts of retiring he can’t go out like this." Retirement rumors started after the football star hinted at it back in November 2023.

Kelce's response about retirement was, "more than anyone could ever imagine" as he reflected about the wear and tear his body has gone through over the years. 

According to US Today, Kelce told reporters inside the locker room, "We haven't played that bad all year... Hats off to the Eagles, they got after us, all three phases."
