An Israeli woman who said she was raped by a Palestinian teenager on May 11 is now saying she made the whole thing up.
The Jewish woman said she was actually in a consensual relationship with the Palestinian teen, but had accused him of raping her after being pressured by her family, who evidently disapproved of her sleeping with an Arab.

After the woman made the accusations in mid-May, Israeli police said the supposed crime might have been motivated by “Palestinian nationalism.”
Even Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the supposed attack on his Facebook page, saying the “horrific crime” required “wall-to-wall condemnation,” and suggesting that such condemnation had not been heard because of anti-Semitism and pro-Palestinian media bias.
Netanyahu has not yet commented on the fact that the woman recanted her testimony.

The woman, who is mentally and physically handicapped, initially claimed that a Palestinian teenager in Jaffa had raped her while his friend filmed it. She said the Palestinians had urinated on her and called her racial slurs.
