The UK-based newspaper, the Independent, had announced in July 2018 partnership deal with “foreign investments” that will lead to create new online services, including an Arabic website of the online newspaper. In details, the British newspaper announced dealing with the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), one of the biggest publishers in the Middle East that will appoint Adhwan Alahmary as the chief editor of Independent Arabia.
