Award winning airline Jazeera Airways today issued its operational performance report for the month of December 2010, which showed that it had a continued lead in market share over other Kuwaiti airlines on popular winter routes that were served in December 2010.

The today-issued report is based on data from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA).  The report does not include the Kuwait-Jeddah and Kuwait-Riyadh routes, where the airline has lower seat-allocation restrictions compared to other Kuwaiti airlines.

Jazeera Airways grabbed a 31% market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 35% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, a 47% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 47% market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route, and an 18% market share on the weekend destination Bahrain.

The report also mentioned that the airline operated the month with an on-time performance of     94%, making one of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East.

Winner of Arabian Business Magazine’s ‘Best in Aviation 2010’ award and Gold Winner of Magnum Opus 2010 awards, Jazeera Airways operates to 17 destinations across the Middle East and North Africa during the winter season of 2010/2011.
