Fans of Egyptian superstar Amro Diab recently celebrated his 49th birthday at the Rotana Café in Cairo. The signer’s fans created posters to mark the event, also held last year.
Sources close to Amro confirmed rumors that the singer intends to take part in a television drama series during the 2011 Ramadan season. He recently signed a contract with producer Sameer Yousif and the drama is currently being written by Tamer Abd Al Mun’im, according to the sources.
Sources also said that the singer will receive between 40 and 50 million Egyptian pounds to take part in the drama, his first television role, and that the series will contain intense battle scenes.
