The entertainment program “Shawsharah” held Jordanian singer Diana Karazon guest to discuss the details of her much publicized dispute with her former business manager Mohammad Al Majali. The latter had filed numerous lawsuits against Diana for breaking the contract with him before its end dates and is demanding monetary compensation. Mohammad is also demanding that the Egyptian Interpol arrest Diana and deport her back to Jordan to be prosecuted.
On her part, Diana has accused Mohammad of assaulting her and threatening to kill her. She also stated that Mohammad had made other threats if she did not submit to his demands.
Diana stated that several years ago, Mohammad had become her business manager and overlooked all the details of her singing career, which included holding concerts, releasing albums and so forth. She added that six months after they began working together, he had proposed to her, but she had refused stating that he is already married and she refuses to be behind destroying his family, which had treated her with love and respect.
The singer added that Mohammad kept interfering in her personal life and forbade her from hanging out with friends and wearing any outfit that he did not feel was suitable to his taste and became very controlling with her and possessive. Diana went on to say that in one instance Mohammad actually physically beat her and told her that the fact that he comes from a very powerful family and she from a poor one gives him the ability to literally destroy her and erase her from existence. He also physically assaulted her and forced her into signing a contract entitling him to an amount of 100 thousand US dollars if she ever thinks of leaving him professionally.
After the singer refused to return to him, he began filing lawsuits against her and demanded his compensation.
During the show, Diana presented all the documents that prove that all the lawsuits filed by Mohammad resulted in a ruling in her favor, in addition to document stating that the Jordanian Interpol has no order for her arrest.
