Lebanese singer Dina Hayek revealed that the recent illness she recently had was a result of a medical mistake by a famous Lebanese doctor she did not wish to reveal the identity of.
During an interview with journalist Nidal Al Ahmadiyah on the show “With Nidal”, which airs on the Egyptian channel ‘Al Qahira wal Nas’, Dina said that she had undergone a plastic surgery for her nose three years ago, which was not successful and so she had to undergo a second surgery a year later.
Dina stated that after she underwent the second surgery her nose was supposed to gradually get smaller, but that did not happen and instead her nose began getting redder by the day. Dina at that moment sought medical advice and the doctor she went to gave her a medication to relieve the redness and reduce the pain she was having. It the singer skipped a day of taking the medicine her nose would become red again.
After a short while, the singer went to a different doctor who discovered she had acquired a dangerous bacteria that if it had spread into her system she would die. The bacteria gradually works its way into the blood stream after a year and therefore the singer was forced to travel abroad to receive immediate medical treatment.
