Egyptian actor Khalid Al Nabawi has filed a complaint with the Egyptian Ministry of Interior requesting an investigation into his hacked e-mail account.
Khaled filed his complaint to the department for combating computer and internet crime at the ministry and officials promised him to take all necessary precuations to protect him, even notifying the international police unit Interpol to protect him while he travels.
Internet website MBC.net reported that Khalid was shocked when friends, family members and fans began calling him to see if he was in good health after receiving e-mails from his account stating that he was “in deep trouble” in London and was in need of a large sums of money urgently to resolve the matter.
Khalid assured all recipients that he is in good health in Cairo and is not in any kind of trouble. He also notified his bank of the cyber threat.
On a different note, Khalid is waiting for his latest film “Al Li’bah Al Adelah” (Fair Game) to be released in November. The film will be screened in movie theaters across the United States. The film, directed by Doug Liman also stars American actors Naomi Watts and Sean Penn.
