Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has made a final decision not cooperating with Egyptian actress Ghada Abd Al Razq and will not be singing the theme song for Ghada’s upcoming television drama “Samarah”. Nancy had tried more than once t get out of singing the song.
First, Nancy used the excuse of being exhausted from her pregnancy and then said she was very busy with her new born child. Nancy justified her not singing the song for the drama stating that she fears her popularity will be negatively affected if she sang for Ghada’s drama. Adding that after Ghada was been placed on the black list of boycotted artists for her support of the former Egyptian government regime, anyone who works with her may be blacklisted as well and she (Nancy) does not want to take that risk.
The theme song is written by Hussein Mustafa Muhram and composed by Mohammad Yahia.
It is known that Nancy has been very careful about maintaining her popularity in Egypt and had dedicated two songs for Egypt the first “Ana Masri” (I am Egyptian) and the second “Wahshani Ya Masr” (I miss you Egypt). Both songs were recorded and released after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak.
