Iraqi and Arab social media users went on Saturday to remember a historic moment in which an Iraqi journalist threw both of his shoes at the former United States President, George W. Bush during a press conference in 2008 held by Bush and the Iraqi Prime Minister in Baghdad.

The incident took place as Bush was scheduled to leave office roughly five weeks later. Journalist Muntadhar al-Zaidi yelled while throwing his shoes: “This is a farewell kiss from the Iraqi people, you dog,” and he added: "This is for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq.” President Bush ducked twice to avoid being hit by the shoes.

After 10 years on the incident, the memory seem to be unforgettable for Iraqis who went to remember it, re-share the video again and praise al-Zaidi for his bravery to stand up against Bush, the US president who staged the Iraqi invasion once he took office and led Iraq to a catastrophe that Iraqis are suffering from until now.
