On Monday, Vodafone Egypt dropped its new promotional campaign, and it could not have gone down better. The video already has hundreds of thousands of views and 32,000 likes.

The commercial shows well established Egyptian stars meeting up-and-coming figures in the world of sport and performing arts. Egyptian celebrities such as football legend Mohamed Aboutrika, actress and dancer Nelly Karim, former world squash number one Amr Shabana and actor Ahmed El Sakka, all mentor their younger counterparts to ultimate success across two-and-a-half dramatic minutes.
Part of the key to the advert’s success is that these stars have shared it to their considerable social media audiences:

While the concept might have captured Egyptian hearts, it appears some are still on the fence about the company itself, however:
Imagine, your advert is 2:40 but I watched it over 13 minutes because your network is so strong...
