Viral Videos Document Israel’s Largest Attack on Gaza Since 2014

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed earlier that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacks came in response to dozens of rockets fired into Israel earlier this week. The IDF launched raids targeting facilities used by Hamas in Beit Lahia, a training camp located in a high-rise building in northern Gaza, weapons storage facilities and rocket launchers.

Later on Saturday night, Hamas confirmed a ceasefire deal was reached with Israel thanks to "Egyptian and international efforts." However, no Israeli official commented on the announced ceasefire, according to the Times of Israel. Additionally, Reuters reported an Israeli airstrike hit an empty building in Gaza City where two people were killed, a father and his son.

Meanwhile, social media users in Gaza shared several videos documenting the Israeli airstrikes toward the Strip.

Muhanned Qafesha, a Palestinian journalist shared a video documenting a moment in which Al-khatib building was bombed. The building is reportedly used by Palestinian families to play and have picnics. The blast resulted in killing two children and wounding 10 others.

Another video was shared for the same airstrike but it was recorded from another place.

A viral video was shared on social media for three Gazan children while filming a challenge video, when the Israeli airstrike hit a nearby area. The video shows how terrified the children became when they heard the explosion.

Palestine-based Shehab News Agency Facebook page, documenting the moment in which Israeli raids bombarded “Quraysh” location that belongs to Hamas.

Quds News Network also shared videos for the turmoil caused by Israeli rockets fired in the city, with heavy smoke and people running all over the streets fleeing from bombs and trying to rescue injured.

On the other hand, social media users in Israel and the IDF official Twitter account shared videos for the rockets that were reportedly fired from Gaza toward Israel, resulting in injuring four people slight injuries, according to Haaretz.

The IDF shared videos for 90 rockets fired from Gaza toward Israel.

Another video was shared by Yosef Yisrael for a Hamas rocket that targeted Sderot. The video shows people while evacuating a building.

An Israeli diplomat in the Israeli Embassy in the UK shared another video of a rocket fired by Hamas and targeted a main street in Sderot city.

Hallel Silverman, an Israeli activist shared a video for a rocket fired by Hamas toward Israel, justifying the reason behind Israeli rockets that were fired toward Hamas locations in Gaza.

Pro-Israel education and advocacy organization, Stand With Us, shared videos as well on the official Twitter account for an evacuation of “a pool at kibbutz in Southern Israel” due to rockets been fired from Gaza.
