Thing got a little nasty on Lebanese TV show OTV earlier this month during a discussion between Lebanese lawyer Tareq Chindeb and former Lebanese MP Nasser Kandil.
Chindeb and Kandil were meant to be talking about the involvement of Lebanon's Shiite militant group Hezbollah in Syria. A very serious factor in the conflict, but what's supposed to be a spirited conversation diverges instead into a dribble about shoes, beards and, well, just watch the video below. English subtitles were added by Washington DC-based monitoring site, MEMRI-TV.
This isn't the first time things got out of hand in the Lebanese debate arena, though. Pretty much the same thing happened during a debate on Lebanon's Al-Manar TV in 2013 when one guest defended Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. But that time, the fight got a bit more physical.
