Egyptian actress Mai Kassab and her folk singin' hubby Oka have just celebrated their nuptials, but there was a dark cloud cast over their wedded bliss. Their dear friend and fellow celebrity was shot dead on the Egyptian revolution's anniversary, the day before their marriage ceremony. DJ Ahmed “Zo’la” Mohsen was passing through the area where clashes were going down between Muslim Brotherhood backers marking the occasion and security forces on January 25 and was killed.

The couple apologized to the family of the DJ, who was also a bandmate with Alaa Fifty, Sadat and Amr Haha, for being unable to postpone their big day despite the musician's passing.

Al Jaras magazine reported that Mai posted a photo of Ahmed and commented, "I ask you to pray for the soul of Ahmad Zoula from the band Al Sadat wa Fifty. My deepest condolences to his family from me and Oka and we are truly sorry that we could not postpone our wedding because our relatives had already come from abroad to attend the event and it was too late to make any changes. He is a martyr, and we ask God to rest his soul in peace."

Oka also expressed on social media his deepest grief over the loss of his friend.
