Another Yemeni protester died of gunshot injuries Wednesday after being hit when police opened fire overnight on an anti-regime rally in the capital, AFP reported.
The protester was hurt when police fired live bullets and tear gas to disperse a students' rally outside Sanaa University late Tuesday. He later died of his injuries in hospital.
Three other demonstrators were also injured by gunfire, while some 60 others were lightly hurt after they were beaten by police batons or inhaling tear gas, the official said. A security official said that 12 policemen were hurt by rocks hurled by demonstrators.
