Iraqi police said Monday that four people were killed and and five others were wounded by a suicide car bomb which targeted a convoy carrying employees of a British company in northern Iraq. The police said the suicide bomber targeted a vehicle in a convoy carrying staff members of a British company in Mosul. The power of the blast pushed the car to a valley at a distance of 40 meters, killing all who were there.
Iraqi officials said that the company is a British construction company, but could not get its name.
In a related development, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mehdi Damad escaped by two blasts as his motorcade drove through an intersection in central Baghdad. Source said that the blasts led to the injury of one of his guard, in addition to three civilian bystanders.
