Six suspected Israeli spies, including a former senior army officer, fled Lebanon following the arrest of agents Charbel Qazzi and Tareq al-Rabaa, Lebanon's Ad-Diyar newspaper reported Thursday. Suspect Ghassan al-Jud is thought to have escaped to Germany, according to the newspaper. He was a top officer with experience in the army's engineering unit, it added.

Another man from the Khreish family also traveled to London. He was a telecom engineer, Ad-Diyar reported. Four technicians at Lebanese mobile operators have disappeared as well, the newspaper conveyed.
