Heavy firefights continued in Libya on Saturday, with reports indicating that the rebels have taken control of the town of Ras Lanuf. The rebels said pro-regime fighters fled the town. At least 40 rebels were killed in the fight for the key oil town.

The rebels plan to takeover Ben Jawad later Saturday, and plan also to advance towards Moammar Gadhafi’s hometown of Sirte.
