Egyptian sources denied on Wednesday reports that Gamal Mubarak, the son of the Egyptian president, has left the country. The reports said he left Egypt together with his wife and his daughter, on board of a private jet that took off from a military base west of Cairo. He was heading to London, according to the reports.
However, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, the Secretary of Political Education & Training in the ruling National Democratic Party, dismissed these reports.
Kamal stated Mubarak did not leave Egypt and has been following the events in the country.
The reports said Gamal took with him 97 large-sized bags on his way to London.
Other reports claim the VIP hall at Cairo International Airport has seen an extraordinary activity. They claim leading businessmen are fleeing the country. On eof the names mentioned is Ahmed Ezz, the Chairman and Managing Director of Al Ezz Industries, a leading company in the manufacturing of steel and ceramics.
