A new activism, a new politics, a new generation of Palestinians in Israel

A new generation of Palestinian-Israelis is impacting the political scene in Israel.  Inspired by the hopes of the Oslo peace process and the 2000 Intifada, they are bolder than previous generations in their public declaration of Palestinian identity, and are seeking new ways to shape their future.

America should only help Israel if it helps itself

Having stretched its military resources to the limit in the past decade in the Middle East, the US wants to pull out of the region. To do this, president Obama wants a new kind of stability based around regional powers figuring out new roles and discovering a balance of power for themselves.  Particularly important is the balance between Iran and Israel, two contentious nations.
