Lebanese singer Mariam Fares has recorded a new song in Dubai during her recent visit at the ‘Aghani’ studios. The song is sung in the Gulf dialect and is composed by Waleed Al Shami, who also overlooked all the preparations for musically distributing the song.

According to the London based Elaph, sources have revealed that Mariam has not reached a final agreement with the production company ‘Platinum Records’ for the propriety rights of the new Gulf album she intends on releasing due to unsettled differences on a number of clauses in the contract by both sides. It is said that ‘Platinum Records’ has included a number of clauses to its contracts that it refuses to remove due to the deteriorating conditions of the music industry in the Arab world.

On a different note, UAE poet Anwar Al Mishayri revealed that Mariam’s new Gulf album will feature a song he wrote titled “Kuther Al Khayal” (Many illusions” and it will be composed by Abdullah Al Jasem.
