Nexant ( announced today that Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Kingdom of Bahrain Minister of Oil & Gas, has officially opened Nexant's Middle East office at an opening ceremony and seminar at the Capital Club, Bahrain Financial Harbour in Manama. The event was attended by senior client executives from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) energy and chemical industries who discussed key issues facing their industries in the region.

"Beginning with our ChemSystems brand, Nexant has been providing thought leadership and advisory services in energy and chemicals to GCC clients for over 25 years," said Richard Sleep, Nexant Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. "As part of our ongoing global expansion, we opened the regional office in Bahrain to provide closer support to the industry. Not only will this new office enable us to enhance existing relationships and build new ones, it will allow us to be even more responsive to our regional clients and deliver a wider range of comprehensive services throughout the Middle East."

Nexant's new office in Bahrain is headed by Graham Hoar, Director-Middle East, who will focus on further enhancing and developing the company's energy and chemicals consulting business in the region.

"We selected Bahrain for this new office to serve the entire Gulf region because of its central location, proximity to major clients, and business-friendly environment," said Hoar. "I am looking forward to working with existing energy and chemicals clients as well as meeting and working with new clients in this dynamic region."
