Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides is scheduled to hold talks on Monday in the Danish capital of Copenhagen with Denmark’s Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Cyprus' EU accession course, the Cyprus problem as well as bilateral ties between Cyprus and Denmark.
Clerides is to fly to Copenhagen on Sunday at the invitation of Rasmussen, whose country will hold the rotating EU Presidency during the last six months of this year, the Cyprus News Agency reported Friday.
Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou told the agency that the two sides, "will review their bilateral relations and Cyprus' accession course in the light of the crucial decision (enlargement) expected to be taken at the EU Summit in Copenhagen in December." (Albawaba.com)
