Six Senses Zighy Bay is delighted to introduce their outdoor epic adventures and cultural pursuits giving you the opportunity to experience and explore the natural beauty of Musandam, Oman.

For the adrenaline enthusiast The Downhill Dash is the most exhilarating mountain bike ride in the region. Starting from the resort you are transferred into Wadi Khab Al Shamsi, an 1hour drive that leads uphill through the spectacular narrow gorge to over 500m above sea level. The resort's high quality hardtail mountain bikes are awaiting you at the top to start your adventure. From here enjoy the downhill bike ride that takes you back to Dibba. To add to your adrenaline filled thrills, don't miss out on the breathtaking paraglide from the top of Zighy Mountain. Zighy Bay's professional paraglider will take you around the edge of the mountain range where you can explore the bay from 293m up and enjoy the astounding views.

For those who desire something more tranquil and enjoy cultural pursuits, the Sabatyn 4WD is an easy trek that explores the unique village of the Sabatyn plateau. After a scenic drive from Zighy Bay to 1200 meters above sea level, you continue to Sabtayn village that stretches along a mountainside with magnificent views down to Wadi Al Bih. Discover and walk around the village where an abundance of petrogliphs, stone towers and ancient houses still remain.

Alternatively, you can experience the Aquaba Lima Track, a 45minute boat ride along the spectacular Musandam coastline that brings you to Aquaba fishing village situated in a serene bay. After exploring the village, the scenic trail takes you along an ancient path between villages just inches from the sea. Passing numerous abandoned dwellings, many of which still contain pottery and artefacts, the trek continues down the other side of the peninsula to a date plantation in the town of Lima, where you can cool off and enjoy the natural springs.

To end your epic day of adventure sit back and enjoy an interactive slide show at the Chill Bar, followed by guided stargazing on the main beach as Dr Parag Mahajani, Six Senses Astronomer (who frequently visits all of the resorts worldwide), will return once again from the 20 -30 December to fascinate and delight you on the celestial world above.
