New Jordanian cabinet sworn in

A Royal Decree was issued on Saturday approving  

the formation of the new government led by Faisal Al Fayez, Petra news agency reported. The new government has pledged to fight poverty and unemployment and build political development, a source told AFP.  

 

Following is the list of the new cabinet sworn in before King Abdullah II:  

1) Prime Minister and Defence Minister: Faisal Al Fayez  

2) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade: Dr. Mohammad Halaiqa  

3) Minister of Foreign Affairs: Dr. Marwan Muasher  

4) Minister of Political Development and Parliamentary Affairs: Mohammad Daoudieh  

5) Minister of Information and Communication  

Technology and Minister of Administrative Development: Dr.  

Fawwaz Zu'bi  

6) Minister of Planning and International Cooperation:  

Bassem Awadallah  

7) Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs: Dr. Salahiddin Al Bashir  

8) Minister of Interior: Samir Habashneh  

9) Minister of Education: Dr. Khalid Touqan  

10) Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Hilayel 11) Minister of Water and Irrigation and Minister of Agriculture: Dr. Hazim Nasser
