The Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said presided over the inauguration of the third session of the Council of Oman Tuesday. The Council of Oman comprises the State Council and Majlis A’shura.
Qaboos has affirmed his determination to consolidate and develop the Shura (consultation) in a manner that will serve the interests of the nation and meet the aspirations of its citizens. He called on members of the two councils to support the Shura enterprise to ensure its success, ONA reported.
