ALBAWABA - The details surrounding an incident involving Israeli visitors at the Taba border crossing between Egypt and Israel have been made clear by Egyptian officials.
According to a reliable Egyptian source, the incident happened at a hotel in Taba when four visitors from Arab 48 and an Egyptian employee got into a fight. Three of the visitors suffered minor injuries, while the Egyptian worker suffered significant injuries as a consequence of the altercation.
The source denied reports of a stabbing event and highlighted that there were no deaths.
The argument is said to have started when the visitors refused to pay for some of the services they had used. It then turned into a physical fight that left the Egyptian employees hurt.
At least six Israeli citizens were wounded in an incident at the Taba border crossing, according to earlier reports from Israeli media. Six travelers on their way to Israel were reportedly injured in a stabbing incident that occurred on the border between Egypt and Israel.
