The death toll from three days of fighting between Lebanese troops and IS-inspired militants rose to 27 as the military cracked down on jihadists plotting attacks in Tripoli and the northern district of Minyeh.
The fighting in Tripoli and the north has killed six civilians, 10 soldiers and eight militants. At least another 48 people were wounded, including 26 civilians and 22 soldiers, in fighting so far, security sources said.
