Who is Yulia Vavilova and was she behind his arrest?
However, since his arrest, many people have been searching to find the identity of the mysterious girl who was with him.
According to media outlets, Yulia Vavilova, 24, who is believed to be Pavel Durov's girlfriend, is a gamer and streamer. She is also a crypto coach and social media personality, based in Dubai.
AFP revealed that her family and friends have been unable to contact her since the Telegram CEO's arrest at Le Bourget airport in Paris after landing on a private jet late on Aug. 24 from Azerbaijan.
Many social media users claimed that the woman who was with Pavel Durov could also be the reason he was caught in the first place. However, this is a baseless claim.
