ALBAWABA - Terrifying footage recently flooded social media of a truck driver crashing into several vehicles on the 10 Freeway in Ontario, leaving three people dead and four others hospitalized.
Authorities identified the truck driver in question as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, who entered the country as an illegal immigrant via the US-Mexico border in 2022. According to several local reports, Singh was driving under the influence of drugs when he crashed into eight vehicles.
According to CBS News, Singh, a resident of Yuba City, California, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol officers on Tuesday. The individual was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Additionally, he's expected to attend a court hearing on Thursday.

Dashcam footage of the horrifying incident flooded social media, causing widespread reactions from US locals, many of whom are far-right anti-immigrant social citizens who voiced their anger towards the company that provided Singh with a license.
The dashcam footage captured the truck catching fire while it crashed into eight vehicles, four of which were commercial.
Secretary of the US Department of Transportation, Sean Duffy, took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
"This is exactly why @USDOT has withheld $40 MILLION from California for failure to comply with our rules to protect drivers. We cannot allow our roads to be a dangerous place!"
