ALBAWABA - The "Bulletproof Dreams: Paintings by Gazan Child Artists Exhibition," which opened in Istanbul on December 29th, has garnered attention from international artists aiming to shed light on the Gaza humanitarian crisis.
Famous musicians Maher Zain and Emel Mathlouthi visited the exhibition, showcasing special music videos created to address the struggles faced by Palestinians. Maher Zain expressed his deep impression, stating the exhibition reveals the profound impact of the Gaza conflict on the minds and hearts of Gazan children.
Renowned Lebanese-Swedish singer Maher Zain, known for his Muslim-themed music, commended the exhibition's powerful impact, stating that the artworks vividly depict the thoughts and emotions of Palestinian and Gazan children. Zain expressed hope for a swift end to the ongoing attacks in Palestine and emphasized his responsibility as an artist to use his craft to raise awareness.
The exhibition, visited by 200,000 people to date, aims to create global awareness of the challenges faced by children who witnessed the war in Gaza. Plans are in place to take the exhibition abroad to further amplify the voices of Gazan children.
Covering 1,350 square meters, the exhibition features 266 paintings created by Gazan children during the 2008-2009 Cast Lead Operation. It includes sections dedicated to journalists and doctors who lost their lives in Israel's recent attacks, portraying the war and destruction through drawings and debris.
The Communication Presidency pledged to continue using all available means to expose Israeli atrocities both domestically and internationally, emphasizing the importance of making the world aware of the cries of helpless children in the midst of war and destruction.
